Book as early as possible to secure your date, ideally no less than three months in advance so we have plenty of time to work through the process with you. However, since we don’t finalize our recipes until your wedding month, we make a great choice for last-minute bookings. We take bookings up to 30 days out from your event, and dependent on availability, may be able to take bookings on even shorter notice with a 15% rush fee.

FlowerHouse is an excellent option for value-minded couples who want wow florals without the wow price tag, but who aren’t extremely particular about flower varieties and don’t require absolute perfection.
Our pricing structure allows us to offer you more florist-quality flowers for your money than any other option on the market, because we build our recipes based on what’s most cost effective within your vision when we do our ordering the month of your wedding Nature is fickle, so we adjust our floral recipes based on the luxe blooms that are most cost-effective when we’re doing our ordering the month of your wedding. You won’t have a team of trained florists adjusting every last stem on-site, so if you know deep down that an allium askew will get under your skin on your big day, you might be better off going full-service.We’ve developed what we believe to be the most cost-effective model that provides high-quality products for you and fair wages to the experts who put a lot of physical and mental labor into your event. We are not the cheapest option on the market, but we do offer what we strongly believe is the best value for your money. If you are looking for the most affordable option regardless of how much effort it takes you, full DIY may be your best bet!

The typical range is 4-7, plusyou. When we finalize your floral order, we will give you a more precise guest count based on how many arrangements there are to make. We ask that you follow our recommendation so that we have enough hands to get the job done, without too many cooks in the kitchen. We won’t have enough tools for unexpected guests.

A typical FlowerHouse wedding ranges from $1,250 for a smaller wedding to $4,500 for a big to-do. Your cost will depend on several factors, primarily the quantity you need and the type of flowers that fit your event vibe. Our minimum spend is $750 (this is the lowest we can charge and still make a profit to pay our team).

Absolutely! We are happy to work with you for birthday parties, quinceñeras, dinner parties, anniversaries, galentine’s day parties, wedding showers, graduation parties, what have you. We also love to host HouseParties as events in and of themselves, where your guests take home their arrangements after the fact. Book a consultation to learn more.

Our base range is within 30 miles / one hour of downtown Washington, DC. Beyond our base range, we will travel up to 75 miles with a $20 fee per additional 10 miles to compensate our team for the added round-trip travel time (DMV traffic is no joke). For orders over $2,500, we may be able to extend our service range. Book a consultation call to discuss!
If you live in the DMV but are driving farther afield to your wedding, you can still book with us, but we’ll need to talk through your transport gameplan on a consultation call to ensure you can get your flowers safely from A to B.

The only strict requirement is that it must be a temperature-controlled, covered space (sun and heat will prematurely wilt your flowers) with enough room for all of your guests. It helps if there is a utility water source like a hose spigot, kitchen sink, or shower nearby. Some ideas: a basement, a conference room at your hotel, a garage, a church meeting room, an apartment building community room, even a conference room at your office. We’ve done this before, and we can help think through options on your consultation call.

Trust us, you’ll be fine. A lot of the florist magic happens at the processing stage, which FlowerHouse does for you before we arrive. We also intentionally source flowers that are easy for novices to work with, and all our arrangement styles are beginner-friendly. Most importantly, your HouseParty Host is an expert and will give you the tips, tricks, and final edits to make your arrangements look show-stopping.

We’ll meet with you a month before your HouseParty to go over the details, but here are a few things you’ll want to do ahead of time: read your information packet in full and let us know if you have any questions or concerns, make sure the prep space is tidy so people aren’t tripping over each other or your other wedding decor, pick up some snacks and refreshments for your crew, and feel free to watch some tutorials on YouTube if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Something will! It’s a matter of what, not if. That’s what your FlowerHouse team is for,. There are so many variables in floristry that there is always an unexpected hurdle to deal with for any event that uses florals, full-service or otherwise. This is one of the best reasons to work with us rather than DIYing. On your wedding week, you should be getting a facial and spending time with your family, not speeding to Home Depot to try to find sandbags because your arrangement was weighted improperly, or frantically scoping out every grocery store within 10 miles because your online order arrived moldy and you’ve been on hold with customer service for 96 minutes.
Your FlowerHouse team are trained florists who also do full-service events. In an absolute worst case scenario, we would simply put on our traditional florist hats and treat your wedding like a full-service event. We will never leave you high and dry.

Nope. Our goal is for your flowers to be at peak bloom the day of your wedding. We receive florist quality stems from our partners, which arrive to us tightly packed in boxes 3-4 days ahead of your event. For a Saturday wedding, we receive the blooms on Wednesday and get them rehydrated, happy, and cleaned for you ahead of your HouseParty. (This is also when we do any reinforcement work, like contacting the wholesalers for replacements if the blooms are in bad shape).
On Thursday or Friday at your HouseParty, the flowers still won’t be at peak, but they’ll have bloomed enough to work with. By the day of your big event, as long as you’ve followed our storage and transit instructions, your flowers will be breathtaking. -
We don’t offer event set-up — it’s a big part of how we keep costs down for you. All of our arrangement options are created with this fact in mind, and are made so any fully-mobile person can place them on-site. We work with you ahead of time to designate a VIP to bring transport and place your arrangements (this is often a great job for dad, groomsmen, or cousins). You’ll also receive the contact info of a FlowerHouse expert, so if there’s a crisis day-of we can help troubleshoot.
