We’re the goldilocks
of the floral industry.
The Cost
The short version:
A typical FlowerHouse wedding ranges from $1,250 for a smaller wedding to $4,500 for a big to-do.
Your cost will depend on several factors, primarily the quantity you need, the season, and your event’s vibe. Our minimum spend is $750.
We are not the cheapest option — but we give you the best bang for your buck.
The long version:
Full-service custom florals from a traditional florist will allow you the most hands-off experience, but they’ll cost you a pretty penny. They’ll typically range from 10-15% of a wedding’s budget, shooting up to 20-25% in high cost of living areas (hello, DC) or for bigger orders. This often also means sacrificing floral abundance to fit your budget, leaving your aisles and altar looking sparse despite the fortune you’ve paid for your blooms.
If budget is your top priority (in this economy, we don’t blame you!), you may save the most money by sourcing your own flowers and DIYing them on your own. You’ll need to purchase a lot of equipment, and you won’t have access to the industry pricing we do. You could end up spending more than you would working with us to DIY without the expert guidance we provide. Not to mention the added stress.
With FlowerHouse, you get an abundance of high-end flowers at reasonable prices, without schlepping to 6 stores two days before your wedding and getting a YouTube masters degree. You’ll have trained floral designers guiding you and your HouseParty crew — no meltdowns necessary.
The Flowers
We source the best local and imported flowers available to fit your event’s vibe and budget at an excellent value.
At the beginning of our process, we create a mood board that you review and give input on. From there, we use it as our north star for all floral recipes and purchasing, prioritizing stunning flowers that are easy to work with for beginners. And we partner with wholesalers and farmers to get the best pricing that’s not available to the public.
Flowers are unpredictable. If the East coast has a bad summer, dahlia prices skyrocket. No rain in Holland? Toodaloo to affordable tulips. Tariffs on Ecuadorian imports = terribly expensive roses. That’s where we make a difference. We prioritize your color palette and event vibe instead of specific flower species, so when the price of Playa Blanca white roses doubles the week ahead of your wedding, we don’t freak out. We substitute with White Tibet, and all you see are breathtaking beauties. It’s the kind of industry knowledge you simply don’t have when you DIY.
We guarantee you a great value and gorgeous flowers.
The Equipment
If you DIY your flowers, you’ll end up spending a lot of money on equipment you likely won’t use again — and a lot of time sourcing the right things. If you go for full-service florals, materials expenses are built into the costs.
When you work with FlowerHouse, we loan you all the equipment you need to get the job done, and you don’t pay a premium for them unless you decide to keep them. Ahead of your event, we send you a list of all the equipment you’re borrowing along with the itemized costs. Afterwards, you have two weeks to return the supplies to our studio or arrange a pick-up (go ahead and enjoy your honeymoon first) for your rental deposit back.
Here’s a non-exhaustive list of the kind of equipment we provide, so you have one less thing to worry about.
